Damit folgt die Stadt nicht nur einem Vorschlag der Verwaltung, sondern auch dem Wunsch vieler Bürgerinnen und Bürger – insbesondere zahlreicher älterer Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger, denen das Vermächtnis Otto Molls noch lebendig vor Augen steht.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch3 class=\"text-2xl font-bold\">\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fh3>\u003Ch3 class=\"text-2xl font-bold\">\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fh3>\u003Ch1 class=\"text-4xl font-bold\">Wer war Dekan Otto Moll?\u003C\u002Fh1>\u003Cp>Dekan Otto Moll war weit mehr als ein Seelsorger. In einer Zeit großer Unsicherheit und Not – am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs – war er Motor, Hoffnungsträger und Identifikationsfigur für viele Landstuhlerinnen und Landstuhler.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Gemeinsam mit der Gemeinde fasste er das Gelübde, im Falle einer Verschonung der Stadt durch den Krieg eine Kapelle zu Ehren der Muttergottes zu errichten.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Dieses Versprechen wurde gehalten: Die \u003Cstrong>Marienkapelle auf der Atzel\u003C\u002Fstrong>, heute ein stiller Ort mit Blick über Stadt und Burg, wurde 1953 unter seiner Leitung eingeweiht.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Doch Otto Moll wirkte weit darüber hinaus:\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cul>\u003Cli>Er initiierte die Renovierung der Pfarrkirche St. Andreas,\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>begleitete den Bau der Heilig-Geist-Kirche (1955),\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>war maßgeblich beteiligt am Bau der Pfarrkirche St. Markus und eines Kindergartens auf der Atzel,\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>und wirkte an der Erweiterung des St.-Johannis-Krankenhauses mit.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003C\u002Ful>\u003Cp>\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Für seine unermüdliche Arbeit erhielt er am 3.
