Halloween Coursing 2026 at the Greyhound Racing and Coursing Club in Landstuhl
On October 24 and 25, 2026, the Greyhound Racing and Coursing Club Landstuhl hosts a Halloween Coursing event at the greyhound track. Around 180 greyhounds from Germany and abroad will chase the artificial lure across fields and meadows. Spectators are warmly welcome.

🐇 Dogs Chasing the Artificial Lure – What Is Coursing?
In coursing, greyhounds leave the track and follow their natural instincts: instead of running on an oval circuit, the dogs chase an artificial lure across fields and meadows – for many dogs, the more natural way of hunting.
The dogs compete in pairs and are evaluated by experienced coursing judges using a fixed points system across five categories:
- 🔥 Hunting enthusiasm
- 🧠 Intelligence
- 🎯 Agility
- 💪 Stamina
- ⚡ Speed
The winner within each breed is the dog with the highest total score.
🌍 Participants from Near and Far
Around 180 greyhounds from all over Germany and neighboring countries are expected to compete on the grounds of the greyhound track.

The Halloween Coursing offers an exciting sighthound sport experience in an autumnal atmosphere. Visitors are warmly invited to watch the runs and get a glimpse into the fascinating world of greyhound sport.
