Originally built in the Middle Ages, the Zehntenscheune was used to store the “tithe,” a tax paid to the church. Over the centuries, the building was renovated and restored several times, preserving its characteristic half-timbered design and massive oak beams.
🖼️ Sickingen Museum
The upper floor houses the Sickingen Museum, dedicated to the knight Franz von Sickingen. The exhibition presents historical documents, letters, and artifacts from the time of the Reformation and sheds light on Sickingen’s life and work.
🎉 Event Venue
The lower part of the Zehntenscheune, known as the “good parlor,” offers space for up to 110 people and can be rented for private celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, or cultural events. A fully equipped kitchen as well as tables and chairs are available.
