🙏 Morning: Church Service & Brunch

On Sunday it will be both reflective and sociable. At 11:00 AM an ecumenical church service will take place on the Old Market Square under the motto “Searching, Finding, Living”. It will be accompanied by the band Die Dicken Fische, which combines modern worship music with pop elements. At the same time, the Musikverein Hauptstuhl (1929 e.V.) will perform on the Town Hall stage during the brunch (11:00–1:30 PM). The orchestra is a welcome guest and creates a festive atmosphere with brass music.

🎶 Sunday Music Program

  • Die Dicken FischeTown Hall Stage, 11:00–1:30 PM
  • Founded in 2017, the band consists of eight musicians from Kaiserslautern. Their repertoire ranges from modern worship songs to pop and rock to gospel. Characteristic is the three-part harmony of the “three ladies on the microphone”; alongside sing-alongs, there are also quiet moments with personal stories.

  • Pälzer Cantry BändOld Market Stage, 1:00–3:30 PM
  • The “Cantry Bänd” interprets international hits as supposed Palatinate originals: “Purple Rain,” “Tragedy,” or “Englishman in New York” are humorously presented as old folk songs. Mario “Big Joe” Bissinger, Tino “Little Joe” Schreck, Michael “Middle Joe” Bissinger, and Cornelius “Doc Moliday” Molitor deliver tongue-in-cheek entertainment – consistently in Palatinate dialect.

  • Tom MacStadthalle Stage, 12:45–4:30 PM
  • The country singer discovered his voice late, became frontman of the band “Saddle Up” in 2015, and found his home in the Palatinate in 2023. Tom Mac lives country as a way of life and brings songs by George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Kenny Chesney to the stage with authenticity, family spirit, and passion.

  • VyantTown Hall Stage, 2:00–4:00 PM
  • This trio of American musicians from the Kaiserslautern district blends piano-driven soundscapes with rough guitar riffs, solid bass, and a progressive alternative/grunge attitude. A fresh sound that swings between melancholic and powerful.

  • Mit ohne StromTown Hall Stage, 4:30–8:00 PM
  • Tobias Alt and Thomas Winkler call their music “Heavy Unplugged”: although acoustic, it’s louder and harder than you’d expect. They cover everything from Creedence Clearwater Revival to Die Ärzte and Manowar, adding fast-paced originals and witty remarks – like a live pub at a late hour.

  • Beat BrothersStadthalle Stage, 5:00–8:00 PM
  • The cult band from the Palatinate has existed since the 1980s. With two guitars, bass, and drums, Arno Matejcek, Chris Wüst, Sebastian Heiner, and Franz Matejcek play the greatest rock hits by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Pink Floyd, and Yes. Brilliant interpretation, joy of playing, and energetic performance make them a highlight of the city festival.

  • The SpikesOld Market Stage, 5:00–9:00 PM
  • Since 1993, they have stood for authentic rockabilly. The musicians come from renowned formations such as The Pinstripes or The Booze Bombs and bring classic 50s sound back with fresh stage energy. Their motto: “Rock’n’Roll will never die!” – and you can feel it in every minute.

🌅 Closing & Shopping

In the afternoon, the Sunday shopping (1:00–6:00 PM) invites you to a relaxed stroll through town. In the evening, the last chords can be enjoyed in the wine village with a glass of wine and castle view.
