Landstuhl City Festival 2026 on Friday: Opening with Wings of Swing and lots of live music

🍻 Ceremonial Opening with Keg Tapping

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the 36th Landstuhl City Festival gets underway. At 6:30 p.m., the official opening with keg tapping begins on the stage at the town hall. Providing the musical opening is Wings of Swing, a group with an American musical feel, classic jazz, blues and rock’n’roll. The program booklet describes the band as a versatile group with a special New Orleans flair and a mix of hot jazz, blues and traditional American rock’n’roll.

• Wings of Swing – Stage at the town hall, 6:30–8:30 p.m.

• Tune Circus – Stage at the Old Market, 6:45–8:15 p.m.
• Tune Circus combines musical contrasts and different styles into its own sound. The band describes its music as a mix of alternative rock, pop, indie and electronic influences, combined with catchy melodies and plenty of energy.

• Prokolli – Stage at the town hall, 6:45–8:15 p.m.
• The multigenerational band has been rocking stages across the Palatinate since 2022. The program includes covers of Queen, Led Zeppelin, Green Day and Billy Talent, among others. Added to that is a charismatic frontwoman with an extraordinary voice.

• Revengers – Stage at the town hall, 9:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
• The rock band from Zweibrücken stands for authentic rock, professional musicianship and a powerful live sound. The program booklet points to numerous performances throughout the German-speaking region and a repertoire that appeals to rock fans across generations.

• Bruise Brassers – Stage at the Old Market, 9:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
• Nine musicians bring plenty of movement to the Old Market with trumpets, saxophones, trombones as well as grooving bass and drums. Classics from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s become one big, funky party.

• Purple Hazze – Stage at the town hall, 9:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
• Purple Hazze stands for powerful rock and a musical journey through several decades. The group’s range spans hard rock and classic rock to metal and rock ballads, and they have been performing on stages and at festivals for many years.

🔥 Three stages, six program items

Friday already makes clear what defines the 2026 city festival: music on three stages and different styles at the same time. While alternative and funky sounds are on the program at the Old Market with Tune Circus and later Bruise Brassers, things get rockier at the town hall with Prokolli and Purple Hazze. At the town hall stage, the musical journey ranges from Wings of Swing to a night of rock with Revengers.
