Landstuhl Town Hall receives a modern PV system with battery storage and wallboxes
Landstuhl Town Hall is investing in climate protection: a new photovoltaic system with battery storage and wallboxes is being installed – funded by the state’s KIPKI program.
The Landstuhl municipal association is sending a clear signal for sustainability and climate protection: A modern photovoltaic system will soon be installed on the roof of the town hall. The system includes 78 solar modules with a total output of 34.71 kWp, distributed across three inverters oriented east, west, and south.
For efficient use of the generated solar energy, four battery storage units with around 16 kWh capacity each are provided, as well as integrated wallboxes for charging electric vehicles.
The contract for the construction of the system was awarded to WVE GmbH from Kaiserslautern. The contract sum amounts to €143,959.90 gross and also includes maintenance for four years. The project is partly financed through a state allocation from the “Municipal Investment Program for Climate Protection and Innovation” (KIPKI).
With this investment, the municipal association aims to make its own energy consumption more sustainable and to actively contribute to the energy transition.
The decision to award the contract was unanimously adopted by the main committee on July 31, 2025.
